appliqué has to be fussy? This quilt is about the process of
working in a freer and more organic manner – stepping away from
the sharp lines and measurements that come with rulers and
feeling free to alter the appliqué patterns if it suits you.
This is not about being sloppy; it is about making more
interesting lines in your quilt. The lines we are talking about
are the backgrounds and borders in the quilt. If you love
appliqué, and would like to learn a new approach to freedom in
cutting backgrounds, this would be a great new adventure for
you. This quilt is fun and lively! The cost of the monthly
kits is undetermined at this time. The cost of the monthly
fabric kits does not include the cost that will be incurred by
each participant to have the pattern enlarged to 200%. That
cost can range from $20 to $30 depending on where you have it
done.

Miss Rosie’s Quilt
Co. patterns have been one of our favorite quilt designers for
many years. We have a fabric line we wanted to use for a pieced
block of the month quilt next year, and several quilt patterns
in the running, but nothing seemed to gel until this pattern
came along. It is a perfect fit for the fabric line “Garden
Party” designed by Blackbird Designs for Moda. The quilt is
made up of several different star blocks, trees and house
blocks. It is a very traditional style quilt.
