When I was growing up, a lady would never go to church without her head covered with a great hat. This quilt reminds me of all the hat boxes my mother and grandmother had piled high in their closets and the fun my sister and I had using them to play dress up. The hat boxes and “wallpaper” in the cubbyholes on this quilt are made from an assortment of scrap materials. You can use all those wonderful floral prints and toiles from your stash.
