Okay, so now you
have completed Basic Quilt Making, and you are ready to learn to hand
quilt. Or maybe you inherited some quilt tops and would like to learn
so you can hand quilt them. Whatever your reason, this class will teach
you everything to get you started. Charlcie calls hand quilting her
therapy. The following tools of the trade will be discussed, looked at,
and used so you can decide what is best for you: needles, thread,
thimbles, frames, marking pens, stencils, and basting methods.
You are not required
to take Basic Quilt Making before taking this class.
Charlcie is now
teaching the Thimblelady’s method, ”Quilting Without Pain.” This
method is so much better than the old method of pricking your under
finger all the time. This method allows less stress on the fingers and
hands and NO
MORE SORE FINGERS. You will
have the opportunity to try the “Thimblelady’s” plastic thimbles in
class, or others to see which thimble may be the style for you.
