Quilt Binding by Machine
A beginner level class

Instructor - Mauri Richey
Tuesday, March 28, 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Class Fee $25

My idea of handwork involves a stapler and glue gun. Neither of which are the best way to bind a quilt. So in an effort to avoid handwork Iíve come up with a fast way to machine bind my quilts. And since the first thing to wear out on a much-used quilt is the binding, it only makes more sense! (Hand finished bindings are lovely and a must for heirlooms and quilt shows; they arenít really practical for quilts that are used and washed more frequently Ė especially kids quilts.) I can bind a queen size quilt in about 2 hours and so can you. Come learn my techniques and soon youíll have professional looking and durable bindings in a fraction of the time it takes to hand stitch one. This class is the perfect follow up to the Basic Quiltmaking Class.
